Hector Vargas is a nature and travel photographer from Toronto.

You’ll often find him out at sunrise chasing the perfect shot, or off exploring new places in Canada and abroad. Wherever he goes, Hector loves capturing the beauty of the natural world and the moments that make travel unforgettable.

He got his professional start in 2012 photographing events for the City of Toronto: from political meet-and-greets to festivals and everything in between. But in 2020 and the years that followed, his focus shifted. Hiking and learning about the birds and wildlife around him sparked a passion for nature photography that continues to grow.

When he’s not behind the lens, Hector’s usually enjoying a cup of coffee (probably a few too many, though he insists it’s never too much).
